About Cruise Ship

A cruise ship or cruise liner is a passenger ship used for pleasure voyages, when the voyage itself, the ship's amenities, and sometimes the different destinations along the way (i.e., ports of call), are part of the experience. Transportation is not the only purpose of cruising, particularly on cruises that return passengers to their originating port (known as "closed-loop cruises"). On "cruises to nowhere" or "nowhere voyages", the ship makes 2–3 night round trips without any ports of call.

Celebrity X Cruises

Celebrity Cruises is a premium cruise line which was founded in 1988 by the Greece-based Chandris Group. In 1997, Celebrity Cruises Ltd. merged with Royal Caribbean International to become Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., which operates Celebrity, Royal Caribbean International, Azamara Club Cruises, Pullmantur Cruises and CDF Croisières de France. The signature "Χ" displayed on the funnel of Celebrity ships is the Greek letter chi, for "Chandris".

Royal Caribbean International

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. was formed in 1997 when Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, founded in 1968, and Celebrity Cruises, founded in 1988, was then purchased. The decision was made to keep the two cruise line brands separate following the merger; as a result Royal Caribbean Cruise Line was re-branded Royal Caribbean International and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. was established as the new parent company of both Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises.

Dream Cruises

The Genting Dream was ordered in October 2013 for Star Cruises and it should debut for Star Cruises as Genting World. Construction began on 9 February 2015. The Genting Dream had debuted in November 2016, while her sister ship World Dream will enter service in November 2017. The ship's christening ceremony took place in Guangzhou, and the vessel's godmother was chosen as Puan Sri Cecilia Lim, wife of Genting CEO Lim Kok Thay. On 19 August 2016, Genting Dream was floated out of dry dock.
